'Celebrating Month of Photography Denver'

Triggered Momentum featured photography based, mixed media work by Sabin Aell and an interactive video installation by Sterling Crispin.

An artist is responsible to question and create, resulting in a product that provides curiosities for its viewer, often with the common response, "How did they think of that?" This exhibit is an approach to that moment, that epiphany, when you know you have stumbled upon something. Sabin Aell's photography based, mixed media panels are the product of her experiencing something bizarre, yet oddly beautiful. Her subject, towels -twisted and frozen, are photographed with a medium format camera and printed onto a translucent material which are mounted over paintings on aluminum panel. Sterling Crispin's interactive video installation Planeck's Lens offers viewers a chance for their own discovery when approaching his glowing portal that reconstructs their figure, gradually and then completely.
